Social Work Case Manager
“I work to empower mothers so they feel confident in caring for their baby.”
Jodie is a Licensed Social Worker and brings over nine years’ experience in child welfare to our case management program. Jodie’s role is important to our program because social needs, such as: addiction, transportation, access to resources, unstable housing, and food insecurity have the ability to impact care. Jodie ensures families know about available resources and gives families options to make the best, informed decisions.
As the Social Work Case Manager for one of our longstanding clients, Jodie primarily works with families whose babies were in the NICU because of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Jodie regularly interacts with hospital discharge planners, hospital social workers and Children & Youth Services to help ensure a safe discharge and to find out how we can help when the baby leaves the hospital.
When not at Progeny, Jodie can be found at home with her family, in the kitchen trying out a new recipe, or at the beach with a good book.
