Case Management Associate
“I really enjoy interacting with the moms, hospitals, discharge planners, social workers and doctor’s offices about how we can provide the best care and support for these NICU babies and their families.”
Lisa Naessens is a Case Management Associate (CMA) for ProgenyHealth. As a CMA, she supports a team of nurse case managers and social workers who manage care for five of our clients. In this role, Lisa talks with NICU moms about the ProgenyHealth Case Management Program, contacts discharge planners to check demographic information, schedules needs assessments with our case managers, checks the eligibility status for all ineligible babies, and manages the fulfillment of our introduction packets for caregivers that are tailored to the individual needs of each baby.
One of the most important tasks that Lisa manages is introducing the ProgenyHealth Case Management Program to the moms of baby’s that have been admitted to a NICU or special care nursery, which contributes to the positive enrollment rates that ProgenyHealth produces.
Lisa has been with ProgenyHealth for two years. Prior to joining our team, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a senior care coordinator and training preceptor doing project-based work including drug promotion, helpline assignments and adverse event reporting. Additionally, she spent time as an office manager and in different sales capacities.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her three children, cooking, and traveling. She can often be found cheering for her daughter’s basketball team or mentoring her eight-year-old “Little” as part of the Big Brother/Big Sister program.
