| ProgenyHeath’s team has an extensive
amount of current clinical and managed care experience. Many of
our employees continue to practice in the field of neonatal medicine
and are very much on the pulse of current neonatal trends and practices.
This strengthens our credibility and the ease with which we interface
with NICU providers. Our medical team is composed of practicing
neonatologists , pediatricians and knowledgeable NICU-experienced
nurses who are involved in the day –to –day operations
at ProgenyHealth.
ProgenyHealth contracts primarily with health plans, employer groups
and other payors to manage the care coordination needs of their
medically complex newborns. We partner with our client’s neonatal
providers and families from the moment an infant is admitted to
the intensive care nursery, until they are safely transitioned from
the acute hospital setting. These services include review and coordination
of all requested inpatient, outpatient, durable medical equipment,
pharmaceutical and home care services as well as ongoing case management
services throughout the first year of life.

Our model of care incorporates the current
best practices in the field of neonatology. To remain abreast of
the latest developments in neonatal-perinatal medicine, we consult
regularly with an expert panel of neonatologists appointed to our
Medical Advisory Board and share this information with neonatal
providers to encourage the habit of evidence-based thinking.
Variations in treatment can lead to less than
favorable outcomes for newborns. Our program creates an opportunity
for individual practitioners to identify and refine their practice
patterns to improve the standard of care in Neonatal Intensive Care
Units.
