Ellen L. Stang M.D., FAAP
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Ellen Stang is President and CEO of ProgenyHealth.
As the founder of ProgenyHealth, she is responsible for the strategic direction and daily operations of the company. She oversees all medical management and quality management activities and is chairperson of the Medical Advisory Board.

Prior to founding ProgenyHealth, Dr. Stang was a Regional Medical Director at Keystone Mercy Health Plan. During her tenure there, she developed and implemented a successful neonatal management program which was used as a model to share with their affiliated health plans. Before entering managed care, she enjoyed many years in private practice as one of the founding partners of Bucks County Pediatrics, a practice of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. While in private practice, she was Co-Director of the newborn nursery for the newly established maternity wing at the Bucks County Campus of the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Stang received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed her residency at Saint Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She is board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member of the American College of Physician Executives and is an Advisory Board member at the Wharton School of Business for their Health Care Management Executive Development Program.
