ProgenyHealth® Maintains HITRUST CSF® Certification and HITRUST Certification of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to Manage Risk, Improve Security Posture and Meet Compliance Requirements
Plymouth Meeting, PA, February 6, 2020 – ProgenyHealth, provider of comprehensive utilization management, case management, and Payment Validation & Assurance for premature and medically complex infant populations, today announced that the company’s Baby Trax® file server and workstations have completed a HITRUST CSF interim assessment which is required to maintain certification. ProgenyHealth initially earned this certification from HITRUST in January of 2019.
HITRUST CSF Certified status demonstrates that the organization’s Baby Trax system has met key regulatory requirements and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk. This achievement places ProgenyHealth in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. By including federal and state regulations, standards and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST CSF helps organizations address these challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
Commenting on the achievement, Ellie Stang, MD, ProgenyHealth’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, states that, “As the market leader in care management for premature and medically complex newborns, our Medicaid and commercial health plan partners count on us to deliver evidence-based clinical best practices and data-driven solutions for this at-risk newborn population. As such, we take safeguarding sensitive information and demonstrating compliance with HIPAA requirements very seriously. ProgenyHealth is proud to maintain the HITRUST CSF Certification for our Baby Trax platform, once again demonstrating our commitment to protecting our business partners as we pursue our shared mission of working to improve the health outcomes of NICU infants across the country.”
“The HITRUST CSF Interim Assessment ensures the consistency and quality of an organization’s assurance level in the year following their HITRUST CSF Certification,” explained Jeremy Huval, Chief Compliance Officer, HITRUST. “Achieving an Interim Assessment is a mandatory milestone that HITRUST requires for every organization that becomes HITRUST CSF certified. By meeting this mandatory goal, ProgenyHealth continues to demonstrate its commitment as an organization that people can count on to keep their information safe.”
