ProgenyHealth® Receives Utilization Management Accreditation from NCQA
Plymouth Meeting, PA, May 12, 2020 – NCQA, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, has recently accredited ProgenyHealth in Utilization Management (UM). At ProgenyHealth, a key focus is to be an added support to the provider community, collaborating to improve neonatal health outcomes nationwide. This approach improves care efficiencies across the continuum, resulting in lower costs. ProgenyHealth’s dedicated UM team works directly with onsite NICU care teams shortly after an infant’s admission to the NICU, promoting high quality, evidence-based care, while maintaining the highest levels of compliance throughout the organization.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. Achieving NCQA Utilization Management Accreditation demonstrates that ProgenyHealth has the systems, process and personnel in place to conduct utilization management in accordance with the strictest quality standards.
“ProgenyHealth is pleased to receive the accreditation from NCQA for our Utilization Management (UM) processes,” says Dr. Steven Richardson, Chief Medical Officer at ProgenyHealth. “This accreditation level means that NCQA has reviewed all aspects of our UM organization and found them to be ‘Excellent’. While our internal management and audit results have consistently informed us that we are performing at the highest level, it is wonderful to have an independent, objective, external evaluator of quality and compliance with existing standards validate our findings. I could not be more proud of our UM and Quality Management staff!”
ProgenyHealth is grateful for this recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (www.ncqa.org), and to their UM and Quality Management team for their continued, excellent work.
